The Wildegrove Witch Release

The Wildegrove Witch, Novella 2.5 of the Darkling Souls Series released today! 

The Darkling Souls world returns with a dark cottagecore novella exploring the wildecraft of witches and the evil that haunts their woods. Kassia's journey is full of self-discovery, overcoming grief, finding new hope, and developing female friendships.  Combining dark fantasy with cottagecore was a natural pairing in this high fantasy world that’s bursting with magic.  There's sprawling worldbuilding with a conflict that's closer-to-home. In The Wildegrove Witch, Kassia has her own part to play in the Darkling War, and the events will change everything. Dark fairytales come to life in this 130 page novella that is packed full of magic and ends on a hopeful and satisfying note. 

The inspiration for this story is, strangely, tales like Rogue One from Star Wars. Showing the struggle of side characters in the greater conflict and how their actions can alter the course of history is personally inspiring and so interesting to write about. It also allows for a different "flavor" for these novellas, giving each their own vibe. Each novella will impact the events of the following books, so I highly recommend reading if you don't want to miss context for the upcoming plot. We'll be seeing more of both the Nameless Spy & Kassia in Book 3.
